The event starts and finishes at The Pig & Whistle Tavern on Purves Rd, Main Ridge - 365 Purves Rd, Main Ridge VIC 3928
Race bib pick up will be from 9am on the day, with the first event (21km) starting at 10:30am. This will be followed by the 10km runners at 11:00am. The cut-off time for both events is 2.00pm (3.5hrs) for the 21km event and 3hrs for the 10km event).
Presentations will begin at 2.30pm. The Pig & Whistle offers a selection of good tucker, and fine ales to enjoy. Hang around and enjoy the atmosphere.
The Pig & Whistle Tavern
The Pig & Whistle Tavern and Bayview Estate Winery, nestled in the hills, 5 minutes from Arthurs Seat has long been a favourite watering hole for locals and visitors alike. The Vineyard supports the oldest planting of vines on the Peninsula. Shaded by tall trees, surrounded by Lavender and Roses, the venue is the ideal place to sit & relax with a cool drink , enjoy the view and the company of friends.
The tavern itself has been something of an icon in the local area since 1975, inviting local families and passing local and international travellers to drop in for forty years.
Its' reputation has been earned from the quality of its food and wine, as well as the entertainment it provides and its old English atmosphere, which is somewhat of a surprise in the heart of Victoria.
